Actually, Tudor, I believe the FAEM diary is there merely as a guide and
aide-memoire. You don't actually return it to the faculty, rather, you must
fill out their form at year end. One particular irritation I find, however,
is that FAEM record our CPD from January to December each year, while most
trusts now record - and fund - our CPD from April to March each year. That
way, it's very difficult to summarise your year's activity in one go, for
submission to both faculty and trust without any duplication. It would be so
much simpler if we could do it that way.
