I agree with David - fair play to him for having a go, but the

Quick is set up for.
Having said that, the FITS handling in STIL could be useful for him
(in my unbiassed opinion he'd be better off with that than Tom McGlynn's
classes), although depending on his requirements he could be better
off still rolling his own. There are also some (not-properly-released,
but working) bits of STIL which deal with object matching/table
joining that might be of use to him.
If you want me to I will take this over and get back to him with
some useful information, but declining to do his project for him.
Of course, if anyone out there is an expert on Voronoi tessellations
by all means pre-empt me...
