If you can relieve patients pain with a mobilisation with movement (be it
posterior, anterior glide or rotation) why not try a simple bit of taping? I
always used to have a nightmare with lots of "odd" wrist problems, but now I
will frequently work out the perpetuating factors and then figure out how
the wrist can be taped to relieve symptoms, usually only use one strip of
tape....
Used it several times on hockey players who got the wrist pain with hard
passes or shots, frequently they were also stressing their wrists with an
unneccesary rotation due to poor technique, which I obviously corrected.
Hope this helps.
