italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
In my book, Twice-Told Tales: Brunetto Latino and Dante Alighieri, of which
I am now also the publisher, I give the archival material on the earlier
figure's learning of his exile while returning from embassy to Spain and
his continuing secret involvement for the Florentine Comune with the
Sienese Comune. I believe Dante had access to such documents, indeed would
have copied many of them as part of his training.
