Dear all,
Just to let you know that the programme of the German Research Seminar at Newcastle University has been slightly changed. For a revised programme of the next talks in the series, see below, or go to our website: http://www.ncl.ac.uk/sml/german/rp0304.php
All talks will take place at 4pm, in room 6.2 of the Old Library Building.
ALL WELCOME!
Beate
--------------------------
4 March (NOT 11 March, as originally planned!)
Allyson Fiddler (Lancaster): Córdoba, Kitzbühel, and Contemporary Culture: Austrian Dramatists on Sport and National Identity
22 April (as planned)
Sebastian Coxon (UCL): Words as Weapons in the Nibelungenlied
6 May (rescheduled, as the talk had to be cancelled in January due to poor weather)
Regina Weinert (Sheffield): 'Everyone who's been there loves it'. Syntactic preferences and purposeful lack of information in spoken English and German relative clauses
The talk by Dr Carol Fehringer, originally scheduled for 6 May, will be moved to semester 1 of the next academic session.
