Action Plan for a New Rural Economy in North Yorkshire
North Yorkshire County Council, on behalf of North Yorkshire Partners (NYP), wishes to invite expressions of interest from suitably experienced and qualified consultants who would be interested in developing a new rural economy action plan for North Yorkshire. Building on a preliminary scoping study, the successful consultants will carry out further work which will:
=+4 Identify entrepreneurial actions that will help to create and develop a new North Yorkshire rural economy, concentrating on food and farming, leisure and creativity, as well as tourism. Innovative and entrepreneurial actions relating to the actual and potential roles that market towns can play in North Yorkshire's new rural economy are also a high priority.
=+4 Identify solutions to problem issues and barriers, and exploit opportunities for the delivery of the vision.
=+4 Take account of regional and national strategies.
=+4 Identify core public, private and / or discretionary funding and partners that will assist with the delivery of those actions.
