I'm currently in the process of installing the GridPP system at Durham,
my lcfg server is on a static IP, do you have a dhcp server already on
the subnet the lcfg server is connected , if so you will have problems
if you have the LCFG to act as dhcp server, there can only be one dhcp
server on each subnet. I have the GridPP system on a separate subnet to
the rest of the office.

You see what looks like a rehat 7.3 startup screen as the various
components install. A work of advice, if you are using 2.08 you need to
create an additional directory
mkdir /opt/local/linux/7.3/RPMS/WP8/Alice
or the install will fail with the error message -
Error: cp cannot create regular file
`/root//var/obj/conf/fstab/fstab.hda': no such file and directory
