The two Scots poets William Alexander (author of Aurora) and Alexander
Craig (author of the Amorose Songes, Sonets, and Elegies) might be added:
they both came South with James when he ascended to the throne after
Elizabeth's death. James himself (I believe) composed a few sonnets, as
well as a treatise on sonnet writing in Scots.
