I'm new to the world of digital recording, etc. Would someone mind
explaining to my backward self the benefit of the 'Transcriber' software
over using e.g. Word?

Re spellcheck on the "Transcriber" software - has anyone had any
problems getting to work - for some reason when we hit that key the
system hangs completely! Someone please email to say it works fine and
then we can start figurign out why it does for us,
