Dear Alex
I think you are being somewhat harsh Alex - being a very multi disciplinary topic looking at inequalities and issues of inequity related to health does form a very important part of health economic research, and certainly of this conference, even if health economists are portrayed in some environs as being solely interested in issues of efficiency and cost effectiveness! Incidentally this conference also has a separate stream for health policy issues as well which is certainly not just for economic papers, far from it.
It would also be perfectly appropriate in my view to send info on the Faculty's of Public Health's Annual Conference as i am sure inequalities in health status undoubtedly feature large in these events and would be of interest to list members
Best wishes
David

Subject: Re: 5th European Conference on Health Economics (September
8th-11th 2004): Third call for abstracts
With all due respect Adam, this is pure
unadulterated spam. While the liberal end of
health economics undoubtedly has interests in
health equity, it is as inappropriate for you to
send a flyer about this health economics
conference to this list as it is for me to send
one about the Faculty of Public Health's annual
conference or any other such generic affair. I
trust you agree and that this practice will cease
forthwith!
Best wishes, Alex
