Subject: Health GIS seminar, May 13th, Oxford, UK
Dear List
Announcement of a health GIS seminar organised by the Association for
Geographic Information (AGI), Health Special Interest Group.
Date: May 13th 2003
Venue: Oxford, UK
Title: UK GeoHealth: New Data, New Challenges
As with all sectors interested in socio-demographic information, the
release of small area census data 2001 in the UK will instigate may
enquiries to inform policy and service provision. With over 100
organisations now signed up to the Ordnance Survey Pan Government
Agreement, the prospect of a framework agreement for the UK NHS will create
countless opportunities for joint working and an increase in the capacity
to utilise new data to meet new challenges. This seminar will be covering
these issues, along with show casing some practical applications of health
GIS that have benefited from collaboration with the academic sector and
other government departments.
Cost: AGI members: £65 + VAT @ £11.38 = £76.38
Non-AGI members £85 + VAT @ £14.88 = £99.88
