Seminar on business opportunities in Russia for Scottish companies
Friday 26 March
The University of Edinburgh Management School
7 Bristo Square, Edinburgh
9.30am - 3.30pm, including Russian-style lunch
The Scotland-Russian Forum was established in February 2003 to promote understanding and contacts of
all kinds between Scotland and the countries of the Former Soviet Union. We believe that the
commercial climate has never been more favourable or business opportunities more diverse than today.
The seminar is designed for Scottish companies in all fields and speakers will include academics and
others able to give an overview of the political and economic environment for business, professional
agencies offering advice on issues of doing business in Russia, and case studies from companies
already established in the market. There will be ample opportunity for informal networking with
speakers and other delegates.
Topics will include the business environment, the impact of European Union enlargement on Russia,
sectors with special growth opportunities, case studies, and advice on how to get business, how to
research your market - and, not least, how to get paid.
