Jenny,
There are numerous guides available in the UK...not necessarily on the web.
Our local City Council (Bristol), for example, has produced an excellent
one.
Two web links (and there are countless more!) are the work of the Reading
University Research Group for Inclusive Environments
http://www.rdg.ac.uk/ie/news/news.htm and also
http://www.dptac.gov.uk/index.htm

Subject: web site information
I have been looking at a most useful and informative website which holds
information that if applicatble to the Uk and /or EU would be invaluable to
service providers.
Accessibility for the Disabled
A Design Manual for a Barrier Free Environment
http://www.un.org/esa/socdev/enable/designm/
However, "This manual was prepared by the Urban Management Department of the
Lebanese Company for the Development and Reconstruction of Beirut Central
District (SOLIDERE) in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and
Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA)".
Does anyone know of a similar information site applying to the UK or the EU?
Thanks
Jenny Parry
