I haven't read the review, but I read the book last June. I think it is an
excellent book.
It's one of a number of recently published history and/or sociology
projects bringing empirical research to bear on contradictions,
confusions, conflations, and controversies in the social and legal
theories that are invoked in discussions of disability rights. (To try to
quell misunderstanding, the theories in question are those presumed by the
general culture, and may not be related to any theory promoted by anyone
working in disability studies.)
