No, I'm not Keith. It is in fact social model theorists who use the term
"disability rights" who are confusing disability and impairment. They
should (if they really want to be consistent) use the term "impairment
rights". Or even better (and as Chris suggested), equality rights for
disabled people, or human rights for disabled people etc. One can find this
sort of equivocation in different places in their work on the term
disability. You were also equivocating in this way in your recent post. Do
you recall a recent discussion on this list about the problematic term
"disability equality"? If not, check the archives. In any case, many of
the same arguments that were relevant in that discussion could be applied
here also.
