With regards to nursing staff, if they come under EWTD. Are they not at the
place of work and available to work for their employer. Should they not get
paid breaks too??

That makes sense, Andrew, and fits with the European view that any time
resident on site should be considered working time. I, for one, don't relish
the ideas of my SHOs going AWOL even for half and hour during their shift. I
like to keep them under a close reign even during their breaks!
