Hi Jamie,
don't worry about this card not being present in the FITS headers. When
you convert a FITS file to an NDF the FITS WCS information is converted
into an NDF WCS component. The WCS information in this component is stored
in a format that is native to AST.
So what you're seeing here is GAIA re-extracting the NDF WCS information
via FITS, not the original FITS headers. Little bit confusing I
appreciate!
I think the problem you've identified is with AST, so I've passed this all
on to David Berry.
