Hi Sarah
These pop up on the OS cards we have here too, and I think some of them mean the following
Corr - Corrected
Rev - Revised
the 6 In part refers to the old maps at scale of 6 inch to the mile so I think this is an abbreviation for the 'Revised OS map at 6 inches to the mile dated XXXX' etc
As for the ONB/RONB I think these may refer to the Name Books held by the OS, the exact nature of which is a mystery to me.
Take all the above as suggestions rather than definitve statements!
best wishes

Dear all
I may be showing my age here but can anyone decipher these abbreviations
which frequently occur as sources in the Cambs SMR.
OS ONB, 1925
OS RONB, Hunts, 19 SE, 1924, 31.
OS Corr 6 in, (Tebbutt CF), 04/11/1955
OS Rec 6ins (Anon undated)
OS Rev 6in, 30/06/1950 (AO)
OS Corr 6in and Card Index, 1954 (SJ Hallam)
Obviously these relate to the history of how information was collected by
the OS and by whom, but what exactly are the different types of reference?
Is all the information these are referring to that that was on the OS cards
that formed the basis for many SMRs?
Thanks
Sarah
