Dear all,
I have recorded a zooarchaeological material from a late-final neolithic
lakeside settlement of northwestern Greece (Greek Macedonia): the site of
Dispilio (perfecture of Kastoria)(excavation of the University of
Thessaloniki), as part of my Ph.D. dissertation.
Now I' looking for bibliography in order to make comparisons with my
material. Can you please recommend me some synthetic zooarchaeological
works for neolithic excavations in the Balkans and some more specific
zooarchaeological reports for large excavations-materials of the same area?
Can you please, also, recommend me the same kind of bibliography for
lakeside settlements of Europe(both synthetic zooarchaeological works and
specific zooarchaeological reports for large materials)?
I already have:
-Denell, Early Farming In South Bulgaria from the VIth to the IIIrd
millennia B.C.
-Greenfield, The Paleoeconomy of the Central Balkans (Serbia)
-Gimbutas, Neolithic Macedonia as reflected by excavation at Anza,
Southeast Yugoslavia
-Tringham, Krstic, Selevac, A Neolithic Village in Yugoslavia
-McPherron, Srejovic, Divostin And The Neolithic Of Central Serbia
-Sakellaridis, The Economic Exploitation of the Swiss Area in the
Mesolithic and the Neolithic Periods
-Gross et al., Zurich "Mozartstrasse" (with an animal bone report)
Thanks in advance
Eleni
