Putting your Images Online - A Guide for Lecturers
Friday April 16th 2004, Glasgow School Of Art Library
A simple, practical workshop for those who want to incorporate web based
materials in their teaching, but haven't the time to become imaging
experts. Covers the steps of capturing images, organising them, optimising
them, and using them within presentations, VLEs and Web sites. The workshop
exercises also show you how to convert your pre-existing teaching materials
(MS Word and Powerpoint documents) into Web pages and how to create quick
auto-generated Web pages from folders of images with a minimum of HTML
programming. We end the day discussing how to find a good web hosting
services, and how to upload your site and make it 'live' on the web.
Although this workshop focuses more on the web than on commercial VLE's, the
content would be very useful to anyone preparing images for electronic
delivery.
This workshop, and others on optimising the quality of digital images, will
be held in at:The Glasgow School Of Art Library, First floor, Corner of
Refrew & Scott Street., Glasgow, Uk G3 6RQ
