LECTURESHIPS IN TRANSPORT
Applications are invited for two Lectureships in civil and environmental
engineering in support of the Transportation Research Group.
Successful candidates will have a PhD in civil engineering or other relevant
subject, an aptitude and enthusiasm for teaching at undergraduate and
postgraduate level, and be able to demonstrate at least the potential to
achieve internationally leading levels of excellence in research.
Applications for appointment at a more senior level may be considered from
suitably experienced and excellent individuals. The Department of Civil
Engineering was awarded grade 5* in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise.
It runs buoyant undergraduate BEng/MEng programmes in civil engineering,
environmental engineering and civil engineering with architecture (average
A-level points score 420 points/25 units for the 2003 entry), and specialist
taught postgraduate and research programmes that focus on civil engineering
topics that are of particular relevance and importance to the environment
and society.
Salary is in the range £27,174 to £41,333 per annum on the Academic staff
scale ACLB/S/R
