The taxi market in the Paris Region is tightly regulated. Entry in the
market is restricted by a licence system and new licences are very
seldom issued. Unlike London, minicabs are not allowed in Paris. As a
result, riding a taxi is expensive and 70% of the rides are paid for by
firms or employers, not by the riders.
I guess that in London, taxi rides on minicabs are, on the average,
cheaper than taxi rides on black cabs.
Could some one tell me where I could find the information to
substantiate this guess (average charge per km or per ride)?
I also guess that in London, the portion of taxi rides paid for by
firms is lower for minicabs than for black cabs.
Could some one tell me where I could find the information to
substantiate this guess?
Thank you for any help
