Faculty Position, Business Information Systems and Operations Research
The Faculty of Business Administration, Economics and Business Information
Systems at University of Paderborn, Germany, has created a new junior
faculty position (in German: Juniorprofessor) in the area of Business
Information Systems and Operations Research. The individual will be
associated with the Decision Support and Operations Research Laboratory
(Head Prof. Leena Suhl) and participate in joint research projects and
teaching activities. The position will be filled for three years. In case
of a positive evaluation, an extension of further three years is possible.
Applicants should have a distinguished PhD or equivalent together with
further scientific publications in a field such as operations research,
management science, business information systems, or computer science, and
research interests relevant to the above area. Especially, we would prefer
research and teaching experience in operations research software, business
information systems with operations research methods, decision support
systems, and/or application systems in transportation and logistics. The
candidate should be able to teach graduate level courses in information
systems and/or computational operations research. Furthermore, we expect
interest in co-supervising doctoral students and fund raising activities.
The applicants should preferably be fluent in English and German, however,
it is possible to learn German during the first year.
