Position of Editor of the Transport Times
Have you the ability and experience to edit a new fortnightly magazine to be
launched early next year, aimed at transport professionals and decision
makers? This is an opportunity for a journalist/transport professional with
proven editorial and leadership skills to make their name in what will be an
authoritative voice on national and local transport. Knowledge of transport
issues, lay-out, subbing, Quark, and experience on trade papers would be an
advantage. We are particularly looking for someone with a good knowledge of
local transport.
For the right candidate, this is an exciting chance to shape a new magazine
and head a team. You will have the backing of a board headed by myself, and
Adam Raphael, former executive editor of The Observer. Based in London,
(there could be an option of working from home for a suitable candidate) the
post will have attractive salary and conditions. Reply in writing with
samples of work and references to Transport Times, 50 Addison Avenue, London
W11 4QP.
Alternatively, please respond to this email.
Yours,
Professor David Begg
