Details of the next cycling conference organised by Tony Russell of CTC and myself, to take place on Thursday 14 April 2005, can be found on the National Cycling Strategy website. It is in the Events calendar- the direct URL to download the PDF is:

Alternatively you can ring or email me or Emma Clews (Conference Secretary, tel. (0115) 951 4132, for a printed copy of the brochure.
The revision of the 1996 IHT/CTC 'Cycle-friendly Infrastructure' guidance will be the main focus of the conference, with an introductory presentation by Alex Sully of the English Regions Cycling Development Team, but also including sessions on Local Authority and User Perspectives, by Andy Mayo of Hull City Council and Dr. John Parkin of the Bolton Institute of Higher Education, respectively.
There will also be an opportunity to hear about fresh approaches to traffic and street design emerging from mainland Europe from Ben Hamilton-Baillie (formerly of Sustrans and now of Ben Hamilton-Baillie Associates) as well as a choice of workshops sessions to discuss these and also the experience of both innovatory and more established schemes in the UK.
The cost is £140 with a limited number of concessionary places available at £35 (details of eligibility are to be found in the brochure).
