Research Associate (18 months)
Implementing Innovative Mobility Management Measures - (OPTIMUM 2)
£20,235 to £27,194 per annum
We are seeking a Research Associate to contribute to the research of the
Department, in particular, to work on OPTIMUM 2 study. This is an INTERREG
IIIB project funded through the North Western Europe region of the European
Commission which seeks to introduce, then evaluate a range of innovative
mobility management techniques at sites in the Netherlands and the UK. The
Loughborough University input will largely focus on researching the
effectiveness of the processes involved in the planning, implementation and
monitoring of these techniques.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of
the research project. More specifically, this will involve collecting,
organising and analysing data, interviewing transport practitioners and
participate in meetings across the UK (mainly in London) and in the
Netherlands. It will also involve writing and presenting reports and
academic papers.
You must have a good honours degree in a transport or policy-related
discipline, and preferably a postgraduate qualification or two years’
appropriate work experience. Knowledge of transport and/or policy related
subject areas is essential. Applicants must also have highly effective
verbal and written communication skills and be able to travel within the UK
and the Netherlands.
