TRi Acting Development Manager
This post provides an exciting chance to help members of Napier
University’s Transport Research Institute prepare and win research grant
and contract proposals. TRi is a key organisation in the University’s
strategy for strengthening research across all Schools.
You would work with staff in many different academic departments, as well
as with staff in the University’s support services, and be responsible for
ensuring people know about the good practice and procedures that have been
developed, improving on these as appropriate. You would be assisted by a
Projects Officer who would be responsible for disseminating information
about funding opportunities. The post should appeal to those experienced
in research administration/management (preferably in a university
department or research office) or to those experienced in the
practicalities of developing and managing successful grants and contracts
proposals. Experience with developing bids for a range of funding bodies
would be advantageous, as would knowledge of what is involved in
successful development of quality assured procedures.
The position is funded for one year in the first instance at Grade H
level, with an annual salary of £24,951 - £29,843. Consideration may also
be given to job share.
