Subject: HEPiX Spring 2004 meeting - reminder
Dear HEPiX colleague,
A draft agenda for the Edinburgh HEPiX meeting (24-28 May 2004) is now
available at http://hepwww.rl.ac.uk/hepix/nesc/agenda.htm
(abstracts for the talks will be added soon)
There is also a list of the currently registered participants at
http://hepwww.rl.ac.uk/hepix/nesc/participants.htm
These will be linked in to the NeSC web in due course.
**** Please remember that the registration for this meeting closes one week
from today on 7th May ****
All participants are required to register, even if you only intend to be
present for just one day, to make sure we have enough room, food and drinks,
etc.
Please register at
http://www.nesc.ac.uk/esi/events/291/
All members of the worldwide HEP community are very welcome. The
registration pages talk about the need for an "invitation". This and the
earlier mails are the invitation(s)! And please feel free to pass this on to
your colleagues and contacts in the community.
The agenda at this stage is far from final. We may need to adjust the amount
of time allocated to site reports when we see the final number of talks.
Some talks will undoubtedly also have to be move to other slots, so please
don't rely on the current schedule. If you offered a talk and its not on the
agenda please contact me (likewise if there is some problem with the title
or speaker name).
A number of you offered talks with no further details. Now is the time for
you to give me a title and abstract (e-mail directly to me is fine). There
are still a few slots remaining for those of you who have already registered
and not yet offered a talk. Please don't be shy; this is your chance to tell
us all about the exciting work you have been doing since the last meeting.
I look forward to seeing you in Edinburgh,
Regards,
David Kelsey

Subject: HEPiX Spring 2004 meeting - registration now open
Dear HEPiX colleague,
The registration web for the Spring 2004 HEPiX meeting (24-28 May) is now
open at
http://www.nesc.ac.uk/esi/events/291/
The date by which registrations needs to be completed is 7th May, but I
encourage you to register well before that if at all possible.
As usual you are able and encouraged(!) to offer talks and site reports,
either via the registration form or via e-mail directly to me. The sooner
you do this of course, the sooner we, the European HEPiX coordinator and I,
can populate and publish the full agenda.
You will see that the registration states that you should have received an
invitation; this is the "invitation"!You are free to distribute widely to
your local contacts within the worldwide HEP community (and please do this).
I look forward to seeing you all in Edinburgh.
Best regards,
David K.
