Dear Marcus,
Thanks for responding to my bits of doggerel.
It seems a bit unfair that CR has God in stereo with which to deal...LOL.
My feeling about this poem is that it seems to be Zeus, rather than Jehovah,
who is speaking. Concentration on the male attributes means that this brand
of religion has little to offer Christina Robina should she be unwise enough
to pipe up.
One question is, of course, how much choice is there in the world? Most
sentient life seems destined to suffer without any choice at all.
Kind regards,
grasshopper

Apparently this didn't make it through the first time:
God Rebukes Christopher Robin
Marcus Bales
Christopher, the brightest boys
Have learned to make a lot less noise;
Through life and books it's My renown
That what sticks up is hammered down.
And duller boys than you and these
Have hidden from authorities,
You'll probably learn some circumspection
After you get your first erection:
Your penis, more than Winnie the Pooh,
Will justify My ways to you.
It takes a lot of lies and greed
To keep Creation up to speed:
All must make their daily choices --
And Hell resounds or Heaven rejoices.
If every choice were good or good
Could right from wrong be understood?
Without the earthly round of maybes
Humans would be moral babies;
Thus life does more than AA Milne
To temper men in Heaven's kiln.
