Yeh, I'm going with the comments that are being made below. It seems/feels
as if you're searching for words to describe what's seen. The words you've
used don't seem to work too well.
I also wondered about:
"Harried by gulls he retaliates
for sand and water trod harbours food"
I can't quite work out meanings for the way the words follow each other. It
looks as if it's a sentence and I want it to work as one. Do you need the
couplet?
It's worth working on IMO, it's got somthing going for it.
