Ryfkah,
I've read this poem a few times. Every line in the first part expands the
scene. To begin with the protag is almost in the garden of Eden but very
soon they are watching a game ? of football, possibly on the television.
There is a good outcome because of who is in the winner's box. The last line
is enigmatic. It's a fig rather than an apple tree. This has me trying to
match it with the fig leaf after the fall.
What was going through your mind when you wrote this poem?
Thanks for the interesting read.
