> Christopher Robin Scribbles a Reply to God
> Dear God, this really will not wash.
> Forgive me if I call it tosh
> to claim all good as Yours alone
> andso conveniently disown
> all evil as the fault of man.
> Whose was the Hand, and Whose the Plan?
> At Earth's creation You could see

> ThePotter knew his pot would crack

> For allthe cracksI see today,
> I blame the Potter, not the clay.
Christopher, the brightest boys
Have learned to make a lot less noise;
Through life and books it's my renown
That what sticks up is hammered down.
And duller boys than you and these
Have hidden from authorities,
You'll probably learn some circumspection
After you get your first erection:
Your penis, more than Winnie the Pooh,
Will justify My ways to you.
It takes a lot of lies and greed
To keep Creation up to speed:
All must make their daily choices --
And Hell resounds or Heaven rejoices.
If every choice were good or good
Could right from wrong be understood?
Without the earthly round of maybes
Humans would be moral babies;
Thus life does more than AA Milne
To temper men in Heaven's kiln.
