Hi Christina,
Yeh, I think the things you say below about the absurdity of censorship in
our society are in the poem too! I think its amazing when a poem that's so
specific can raise so many questions in a reader that enable really big
issues to be considered. It might be that the poem's bigger, tougher, as it
is than us as readers... I'd hesitate about doing anything that tones it
down.
