dissapointed by the ending. I don't know why, tho. Is it the word
"simple" that doesn't work in a complex poem? I don't know. All I do know is
that by the time I get into the last stanza I feel I'm no longer gripped by
what's happening, no longer intrerested - and I should be because
something's happening!

Who thinks sestina's is the toughest, most awkward form to handle! I've been
there. done it, got the T-shirt - but don't feel as if I want to wear it
again!

I actually agree with you. I did this one for someone else otherwise I
would not have touched it with a 10 line verse. There is a revision posted
which is a bit better.
As for simple in a complex work. I hope that can be done, in fact pray it
can.
