Good scenario James - though I'm sure if anyone could answer that question
whether there will be tomorrow, it would be Virgil himself, who has aalready
moved forward a lot of centuries to meet Dante.
Avernus where Virgil went down to the underworld was a very murky place, if
I remember.
Like many contemporary poems it seems to be a clipping from something that
might or might not be more satisfying if longer.
