We are already well on the way to doing this, we have nightly builds,
Norman's work should privide the infrastructure (although sadly not the
unit tests!) to do automated testing of the classic system.

Me either... ;)
While I'm all for using the standard open source tools, we should use the
tools appropriate for our project size, despite having alot of legacy code
the Starlink project actually has a very small pool of even potential
developers, let along active ones.
Maven is, I think, a bit top heavy for our purposes.
