Paul, Andrew, Joseph, and other Conjunction users,
Karl Friston and I have corresponded on a way to unify his views on
conjunctions with my views. As a result we have produced a revised
set of conjunction modifications, which, thanks to Karl, are actually
simplier and result in fewer lines of modified code.
If you download & install just these two files into a standard SPM2
release
ftp://ftp.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/spm2_updates/spm_getSPM.m
ftp://ftp.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/spm2_updates/spm_uc_FDR.m
you will get new conjunction capabilities and can abandon the use of
my conjunction modifications.
With these modifications you can use any of
Global Null Ho: 0 effects true
Conjunction Null Ho: as many as K-1 effects true
Intermediate Null Ho: as many as 0<k<K-1 effects true.
which imply different alternatives...
Global Alt Ha: 1 or more effects true
Conjunction Alt Ha: all effects true
Intermediate Alt Ha: k+1 or more effects true
Karl has a manuscript explaining the intermediate method which I'm
sure he'd be happy to post if he hasn't done so already (Karl?).
