Actually, in SPM, the extent threshold doesn't influence cluster p-values
whatsoever. When you set the extent threshold, any clusters smaller than
the threshold are not displayed in the MIP. So you can set the extent
threshold in a way that you can display only the clusters with
significantly small p-values.
