Slice timing does not take into account the information in the .mat files of
the images. In terms of the order in which the data are interpolated, your
scheme would be the equivalent of SLICE TIMING then REALIGN. The realignment
parameters would be estimated from non-slice time corrected images - which
may be a good thing for people with interleaved data who could do
realign:coregister, slice-time, realign:reslice
In order to do what I think you want to do, then you should "Coregister &
Reslice" and "Creat all images + Mean Image" instead.
