Hi all, we'd like to record a subject's verbal responses during scanning.
An integrated system with MRI-compatible microphone, headphones, and noise
cancellation would be highly desirable.
I searched the SPM archives and found this year-old thread. There was a
post in favor of Resonance Technology's Commander XG FMRI Audio system
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A2=ind0305&L=spm&P=R20862&I=-1
as well as for the Confon system

Are the above users still happy with their systems?
According to their website, Resonance Techology's noise cancellation
product remains under development. However, Confon now seems to offer
active noise cancellation technology ("ANC Level 01", "DSP-based Gradient
Noise Filter"):

Some alternatives which appear not to include noise cancellation
technology are Avotec's Silent Scan system
http://www.avotec.org/silentscan.htm ,
Micro Optics Technologies' products
http://www.fibersound.com/products.htm ,
and the optical microphone from Phone-OR (microphone only, no headphones)

Any suggestions on how to record verbal responses in the MR environment
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
