The JISC funded e-MapScholar project has developed products for teaching
and learning that use digital map data and other geo-spatial data. They
are currently investigating the applicability of the products and the
ideas behind them to other disciplines - including those where other
types of data are used.
The project will also identify potential models for the delivery of
these products to UK Further and Higher Education. This work is to be
done by the middle of 2004.
To help plan the future development of the products e-MapScholar project
would be grateful for your comments on the potential uses of
e-MapScholar products in your discipline. They are gathering information
using a questionnaire survey. Whether you have used e-MapScholar
products or not, they invite you to find out more about the e-MapScholar
products and complete the online questionnaire at:
http://edina.ac.uk/projects/mapscholar/questionnaire.html.
This should take no more than 20 minutes.
The e-MapScholar products were developed to provide online resources for
teaching and learning using real time spatial data from Digimap (a JISC
funded service providing access to digital Ordnance Survey data).
Further information about e-MapScholar is available at
