Strategic Implementation of Learning Technologies Workshop

There are a few places left on the above workshop, which is running again following the success of the first workshop held in February.
This one-day intensive workshop is designed for Learning & Teaching Policy Makers in Departments, Schools and Faculties, and will be led by Ted Smith, HE Consultant.
By the end of the workshop you will:
1. have followed a process for developing your strategy for implementing learning technologies;
2. understand the drivers for, and barriers to, the adoption of learning technologies in higher education;
3. have assessed the opportunities and threats to your department's activities;
4. understand the relevance of institutional and departmental strategies;
5. appreciate some good practice and some of the pitfalls;
6. have networked with others in a similar position to yourself;
7. take away a resource pack of tools to help you further.
The draft programme is as follows:
09.45-10.00 Registration and refreshments
10.00-11.00 The external environment
11.00-12.30 The internal environment
12.30-13.15 Lunch
13.15-14.00 What e-learning can and can't accomplish
14.00-15.30 Setting aims and achieving them (refreshments will be available during this session)
15.30-16.30 Staff issues
16.30 Close
