Dear all
Locally there has been a downward trend seen in our cervical screening
uptake rates. Our cancer screening group are therefore hoping to explore
some of the factors influencing a woman's decision to attend for cervical
screening in order for us to try and target some initiatives/resources in
increasing our local uptake rates. Preparatory work has shown that women who
have attended for their initial smear have failed to return when recalled.
We are currently thinking along the lines of a postal questionnaire (&
perhaps some focus groups to get some in-depth knowledge) aimed at both
women who attend for a smear and those who don't.
Has anybody done a similar piece of work that they could share with us?
Many thanks,
Divya
