Subject: [PSCI-COM] Careers Info required
Hi all,
I have been asked to give a careers talk to both undergrad and
postgrad
physics students at Sussex University (where I'm a Visiting Fellow) on
science journalism and broadcasting. Obviously I can talk about my own
experiences, but I was wondering if anyone had any statistical information
on the effectiveness of science communication courses to beef up my talk a
bit? For example, how many students completing MSc courses in science
communication are still working in the field 5 years after graduating?
Roughly what percentage of applicants gain a place on a given MSc course?
etc
Any information along these lines will be much appreciated and I
will, of
course, credit the source of this info in my talk (unless anyone would
rather I didn't!)
I look forward to (hopefully) hearing from someone!
Best wishes to all,
Sharon Ann
