You may be interested in the science debates taking place in London this
weekend at the European Social Forum. This event attracted tens of
thousands of people when held in Florence and Paris and the London event
looks as if it will be the biggest yet. See details below for events
relating to science. The whole (massive) programme can be found at
www.fse-esf.org.

Subject: Genetics related events at the European Social Forum
Dear All,
The GeneWatch website now has a list of workshops at the European Social
Forum that we think are relevant to our work. This includes events on
agricultural genetics, human genetics, agriculture and food security,
nanotechnology and general science issues.
see: www.genewatch.org/esf.htm
The European Social Forum was launched from the World Social Forum
meeting in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Its first two massive gatherings were
in Florence (2002) and Paris (2003).
The ESF is a unique opportunity where social movements, trade unions,
NGOs, refugees, peace and anti-imperialist groups, anti-racist
movements, environmental movements, networks of the excluded and
community campaigns from Europe and the world can come together to
discuss how to achieve global social justice for all and debate ways of
making 'another world possible'.
If you would like to come to any of these event you must register for
the European Social Forum event its self. See www.fse-esf.org for more
details.
