(Fixed Term Consultancy)
The Department for Education and Skills and the British National Space Centre partnership are working together to create a series of sustainable resources on space education to support science teaching and learning in schools. We are looking for a consultant to help deliver this.
He/she will co-ordinate a series of initiatives to promote space education in schools, working closely with key stakeholders including the BNSC partners, the Department for Education and Skills and the learned scientific societies.
The successful candidate will have a background in science education or science communication and excellent project management skills.
The initial contract will be for a period of six months, with a possibility of an extension. He/she will need to work flexibly (2 ½ to 3 days per week) from home or own institute.
The Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council (PPARC) will act as the recruiting agency on behalf of the DfES and the BNSC Partnership.
