Jim Crace's "Being Dead" gives a detailed (and very graphic) account of
the random murder of an elderly couple and the process of decomposition
as they lie undiscovered on a beach.
Also, Carl Djerassi describes his own novels and drama work as "science
in fiction" (see http://www.djerassi.com/).

Subject: [PSCI-COM] Fiction authors at Cheltenham Science Festival
We are planning an event at the Science Festival in June on science
writing. Apart from Philip Pullman, if anyone can recommend fiction
authors (preferable well known and not necessarily science fiction) who
include science within their work, I would be grateful for your help...
thanks
