FACULTY OF LIFE SCIENCES AND THE CENTRE FOR THE HISTORY OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND MEDICINE
LECTURER IN SCIENCE COMMUNICATION (REF 582/04)
Applications are invited for this new post available in the academic year 2004-05. The appointee will be based in the Centre of the History of Science, Technology and Medicine, but will work across the new Faculty of Life Sciences in the development of teaching, research and practical
communication activities.
You should have:
-A completed PhD in science, science communication, history and sociology of science, or related discipline;
-Professional science communication experience in journalism or public engagement activities; or an academic and professional record of achievement in science communication;
-The ability to develop an international profile in science communication through publication and performance;
-Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
-Demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary will be on the Lecturer A/B scale £22,191 to £33,679 per annum (under review). Informal inquiries can be made to Professor Michael Worboys.
