Hot on the heels of the BA Science Communication Conference, we hope that
some of you would like to attend CMI's next forum.
This would probably be of interest to those involved in evaluation, policy,
or even the tricky business of measuring the impact of our efforts in
science communication on the economy. Please don't reply to me but to

What is the impact of investing in science and technology? Do science and
technology policies improve competitiveness? What are the benefits in
investing in science enterprise education? This conference will consider
methods of evaluating investments in science and technology and the impact
on competitiveness, bringing together policy makers from central and
regional government and academic specialists in policy evaluation.
Speakers include Professor Stephen Roper (Aston Business school), Alan
Hughes (University of Cambridge), Bill Lucas (Massachusetts Institute of
Technology), Dr Chuck Wessner (National Academy of Sciences, Washington
D.C) and Dr Robin Brighton (Segal Quince Wicksteed.) There will also be a
presentation by the DTI.
It is free to attend and there is a dinner being held on the preceding
