Science Learning Officer
£23,000 gross p.a., fixed term contract (June 2004 - Mar 2006)
Are you a talented science communicator with an enthusiasm for science teaching and learning? Thinktank is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to take up this new and demanding role. You will facilitate the communication of contemporary science to a range of audiences through the development, organisation and running of courses for teachers and other educators. There will also be scope to devise and implement a public programme of contemporary science events, and carry out research and development into science exhibit content. You will form strong links with the Regional Science Learning Centre, the LEAs and local universities.
This is a wide ranging and varied role which requires excellent scientific knowledge, the ability to work under pressure and a thorough understanding of the formal education system and the needs of different audiences.
